Red Pill places a set of basic image editing tools at your disposal, for quick and effortless transformations and adjustments. It includes color and luminosity adjustment tools, which can be used locally or globally, various transformation controls and more. It is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and all later editions, including OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). Also, you can have it up and running in no time, without encountering any difficulties.
The application comes with a compact user interface, which doesn't present too many options. When you launch Red Pill, you can choose to start drawing a new image or to load an existing one. You can start using different selection tools, like marquee, lasso or magic wand, pencil or brush drawing tools, a paint bucked, erasers and other tools, which can be selected in a drop-down menu, on the lower edge of the interface.
Other tools can be found in the menus, on the menu bar. You can find options for cropping, rotating and flipping the currently loaded image and for making fine adjustments to its hue, saturation, brightness, contrast and sharpness. The application lets you make these adjustments on the entire picture, but you can also target a specific area in the picture, with one of the selection tools and make your adjustments on that selection.
Red Pill provides a batch image processor as well. You can use it to store images in JPEG or TIFF format, resize them and add a watermark. The best part is that it is capable of processing large amounts of images in a short amount of time.
If you are in a hurry to adjust your digital photos, Red Pill will satisfy your needs.
Pros
The application includes a good number of editing tools. It lets you make adjustments globally or to selected patches. Also, the application comes with a batch image processor.
